Seller shipping deadline

Seller shipping deadline

Sellers have 5 working days to complete the required shipping step after a buyer has paid.

How the deadline works

  • Sellers have 5 working days after the buyer pays to send the order.
  • The deadline starts when payment is confirmed, not when the order is received.
  • Weekends do not count.
  • Public holidays do not count and are based on the seller's own country.
  • The deadline ends at the end of the fifth working day.
  • In shared orders, each seller has their own deadline.

What the seller must do

Before the deadline expires, the seller must:

  • Create the shipping label in the Seller Dashboard.

Creating the shipping label is enough to meet the deadline. The parcel does not need to be with the carrier yet.

Reminder emails

Cardpeer sends a reminder email every morning during the last 3 days before the deadline.

If the deadline is missed

If the seller does not meet the deadline:

  • The buyer receives a full refund for that seller's items.
  • The buyer sees that the seller missed the deadline.
  • The seller receives an automatic 1-star review on their profile.
  • The seller's listings are hidden for 3 days the first time, 7 days the second time, and the account is locked from the third time onward.

If the seller cannot send the order

The seller should cancel the order instead of letting the deadline expire.
A cancellation has a lighter penalty than a missed deadline:

  • First cancellation: Warning
